(= a-neurotoxins)
Postsynaptic neurotoxins, many varieties of which are found in snake venoms. Two subclasses, short (four disulphides, 60-62 residues) and long (five disulphides and 66-74 residues). Examples include alpha-bungarotoxin, alpha-cobratoxin, erabutotoxins.
